October To-be Read list – (TBR)

Its already October. What? Where has this year actually gone? 2016 is going by wayyy too fast and I feel like I am not well in time with it.

Anyways

Another month means another reading goal, more books and more escape from reality.
I placed a huge order of approximately 20 books ( because why not) and I am likely to receive some of those this week . Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of children’s literature and the more of it I read, the more I’m driven to read more of it. So I ordered 6 of Roald Dahl’s books because surprisingly I’ve never read any of his literature . Plus, I ordered Dr Seuss’s collection of 4 pocket books . Can you tell this will already lead to more book shopping? ( my bank account hopes not.)

My TBR list:

J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany & Jack Thorne
: This sequel to the HP series was much anticipated but interestingly, has mixed reviews. I am hopefully going to read it this month because I am ready to devour anything Rowling has written.

content

A Dance with Dragons, George R.R Martin:  This book is the 5th installment in the Song of Ice and Fire series and is a whooping 1100 pages (I can hardly open it without damaging the spine). It features dragons, red sorcery, the coming of winter and loads of Arbor Gold, sour and sweet, thick and dark wine. I dunno how much I’ll complete but I hope I do not rush through it because Martin is taking too long (7 years) to write the next book.

Dr Seuss Pocket books , set of 4 : These books include short stories and illustrations, specifically designed to hold a child’s attention, but of course , I had to get these to get introduced to Dr Seuss.

Famous Five , Book 21 , Enid Blyton: Going in again with children’s literature (God.) I read about 40 pages of this book last month and hope to complete it soon…

What are you people reading this month and which genres are you exploring recently . Lemme know .

  1. I need to do a TBR list too, though I never read what I put on it, lol.
I read half of Dance with Dragons before stopping and deciding to reread the whole series instead, which sounds a bit crazy to do now that I think of it.

    1. haha.
That is a huge task to take on but it’ll pay off, for sure 🙂 (one does forget the names of ALL the characters, or is that just me ?!)

      1. I have problems when characters are referred to with nicknames and it takes me a month to figure out the actual name because the last time I read about them was probably in the 1st book :p
